Celebrating the beauty found in European antiques, we source “objets pour la maison” that infuse interiors and gardens with an aesthetic of collected-over-time, ageless design.

Our Story

I remember the first time I became aware of the French language.  It was the mid 1960's and The Singing Nun had a hit song with "Dominique-nique-nique".  I was just a child but I memorized the words and sang them endlessly, without a clue to their meaning, just loving the sound. Then, in my teens, I spied a billboard advertising "Bain de Soleil, for the St Tropez Tan".  I was hooked and began studying French then.  And Italy.....  Seeing the Duomo in Florence for the first time, walking up the steps to San Minato al Monte, crossing the Ponte Vecchio, watching a thunder storm over the Bay of Naples, the food, opera.....what's not to love?

My first trip to France & Italy I was a young woman in the company of a dear friend and her older sister.  My senses were opened to the wonderful beauty all around:  the luscious food, astounding architecture, singing Italians, the smell of sun-ripened tomatoes and herbs, the antiquity and solidity of it all. Heaven on Earth!

Many trips to France and Italy, since, sparked a desire to bring back home to America some of the quality craftsmanship and truly beautiful items I've found in the markets there, as well as offer new items that are in keeping with the same aesthetic.  I'm thrilled to share these finds with you!
